Every donation, whether big or small, goes towards keeping Sexed Wikipedia running and growing. The biggest chunk covers the essentials: hosting, domains, and email services. After that comes the creative side, including graphic and programming software, plus the equipment we use day-to-day. And of course bills and the time spent researching topics, cross-checking sources, and writing the content. None of that happens for free, but thanks to your support, the site stays free for everyone else.
Whatever feels right to you. There is no minimum, no maximum, and no judgement. The price of a coffee, a cinema ticket, or a fancy dinner all make a real difference. Pick the amount that suits you, and we are grateful for it.
Honestly, no, and we want to be upfront about that. Buy Me a Coffee takes around 5% as a platform fee, PayPal has also transaction fees in place, payment processors take roughly another 2.5% + transaction fees, and from there the usual chain of bank fees, administration costs, and taxes apply. By the time it reaches us, the figure is smaller than what you sent, but every penny is still appreciated and put to good use.
Yes. At the end of each tax year, we donate 2% of our income tax to a selected charity. We prefer to support children's causes anonymously. Over the past three years, we have quietly contributed to charities helping premature born babies and children in hospitals. We do not shout about it, but we wanted you to know where part of your support may end up.
